Wish you all a very happy new Year. A new beginning warrants a new mindset – wisdom from an old story from India. Read on to rediscover your old mighty self.

Ram was hiking through a timber estate with a large herd of working elephants.  Ram was impressed with the tallest and most mighty elephant transporting a massive tree trunk.

On his way back, Ram was baffled and surprised to see this enormous creature shackled to a tiny stick with a flimsy rope. It will not require much effort to break free, yet he stood there shackled.

Curious and baffled, Ram posed the question to the mahout. Mahout replied, " I have used that rope since the day he was born, he tried hard to break free for the first couple of days after that he gave up and he never tried again - he is mentally shackled forever".

There is that elephant in each one of us. Do not let your past shackle you. It is time to unshackle from your old mental models into a healthy and happy new world.

Cheers to the new beginning!

Epilogue:
Views are personal. I write about topics that are interesting and inspiring to me.

A couple of interesting observations from articles published in 2022.

1.  Stories still matter – old stories got the most views and reader engagement. Interesting but not surprising, after all, we have evolved over millions of years telling stories to each other around the campfire.

2. Career advice, finance and market-related posts garnered significant attention. You are on LinkedIn to advance your career - it is a good product-market fit.

Thank you for the feedback.
